A Web site on the Internet is as important to you as
appearing in the Telephone Directory and Yellow Pages,
it can help you improve your position amongst your competitors
and attract additional business to your company. You
should have a Web site specifically designed to match
your businesses needs, its main purpose should be conveying
your message and attracting potential customers to you.
Our 5 step design process will create an individual
and functional Web site for you that keeps your objectives
in mind throughout the development process. At each
stage of the process we provide you with the opportunity
to review and amend the design if necessary. A typical
design process will have the following steps:
Initial Consultation
Visiting you at your place of business is an important
part of the process and the first step to understanding
what you need. Understanding how your business works
and establishing what you expect from your Web site
will form the basis for the overall design concept as
no two businesses are the same.
Report
After your initial consultation we will produce a report
for you detailing our recommendations in plain English.
If necessary the report will also include suggestions
for the site address. At this stage we will also provide
a fixed price quotation which will allow you to know
in advance what our service will cost before committing
to the project.
At the report stage you can also change
any element of the recommendations to ensure that you
are completely happy with the proposal before we begin.
Design
During the design we will layout the look of the site
and create the graphical content needed, this includes
buttons for navigating around your site, drawn or animated
images and any photographic content. If your business
has an existing corporate design or you have design
and graphics ideas of your own, these can be used as
the basis for your site. The look of the site can also
be made to match your existing business advertising.
When the first pages are ready we will
put your site on a password protected development area.
This will be available for you and your colleagues to
access over the Internet as often as you like to check
on the progress being made. You can give us as much
feedback as you like as we want you to be completely
involved at all times. The site will remain here until
it is ready to be launched.
Publish
Once you have approved the final design we will transfer
the site from development to your live Internet address,
either hosted on our Web servers
or to the ISP of your choice. We will then register
your site with all the main Internet search engines
to ensure your new site gets listed when potential customers
search for businesses like yours.
Maintenance
The 5th stage, maintenance of the site, is optional.
If you do not need to change the content of the site
often then you probably only need to update the site
every six months. However, many sites have content that
can change regularly. As part of our service we can
continue to update your site whenever you need to or
we can hand the site over for you to maintain yourself.
